Virtual Channel SDRAM, designed by NEC, also contains SRAM caches. But the caches are not really buffers for the sense amps like ESDRAM. VC SDRAM contains 16 virtual channels, or 16 1 KB SRAM caches. While the ESDRAM module takes care of the "caching" internally, the VC SDRAM caches are managed by the chipset. This results in two important consequences. VIA Technology has included support for VCM in their Apollo 133 and KX/KT 133 chipsets. If you are in the market for faster SDRAMs, you may want to consider VC SDRAM. While VC SDRAM does not have a high speed core like ESDRAM, NEC's VC SDRAMs are high quality DIMMs which offer a small, but still significant boost (2-5%) to system performance. This is particularly true in the case of CPUs with smaller caches, such as the Celeron II and Duron.

По виртуализации болше ничего не нашел, в мануале мамки тишина, на ВИА саите тоже не нашел(если плохо искал то направте на путъ истинный) w00t
Попробуй руками порегулироватъ настройки в биос-е, ето похоже единственный способ.
p.s. другой 1ГБ модулъ не пробовал устанавливатъ в тоже гнездо? как он себя ведет ?
